We had good representation of DC area people at the training! We'll capitalize on the ideas and energy of this training, and begin plans for local activities in the fall. All are welcome to join us for this wrap-up of our 2007-2008 program year and forward look to 2008-2009 beginning in the fall. Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist Church, 3215 Powder Mill Road Adelphi, Maryland 20783 (Directions here.) A highlight of the weekend was the leadership during the weekend of Peter Dunlap (who has a books soon to be published ) "Awakening our Faith in the Future: The Advent of Psychological Liberalism "

Also on June 4, we'll explore having a 3rd Annual Alternative 4th of July Inter-Dependence Day Celebration/picnic. NSP celebrates peace (no bombs bursting in air...), progressive movements in our history - abolition, women's rights - all the expansion of democratic rights and civil liberties throughout the past two hundred and thirty one years....Our inter-dependence with the world - with peoples of all nations and with the earth and the climate.
celebrating all this with songs, poems and all manner of arts and festivities and a midday potluck meal. If a few folks step up to help plan (and it doesn't take much) and our location in Germantown is confirmed we'll post final details soon! Save the date!
